Who we are

Trade Insight Ltd is responsible for personal information processed for this website and Staxis support. We are registered in Scotland under company number SC828505, with registered office at 1 Corvine Way, Greengairs, Airdrie, Scotland, ML6 7FL.

Your model files

The local-file release stores project content in .staxis files at a location you choose. No Staxis cloud account or automatic upload of model content to a Trade Insight service is included. We receive a model or screenshot only if you choose to send it to us, for example to investigate a support problem.

Saving to iCloud Drive can make a project available for sequential work across your Mac and iPad. Apple processes that file under your settings and its privacy terms; Trade Insight does not receive it. Other synchronised folders, backups and operating-system diagnostic sharing are likewise controlled by your chosen provider and device settings.

Visiting this website

This site uses Google Firebase Hosting. When your browser requests a page or image, Google processes technical request information, including your IP address, to deliver the site and protect against abuse. We do not add visitor analytics, advertising pixels, marketing cookies, signup forms or account tracking. Fonts and images are served with the website.

Our lawful basis for delivering and protecting the site is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure product website. Google states that Firebase Hosting retains IP data for a few months. See Firebase’s privacy and security information.

When you contact us

We receive the name, email address, message and attachments you send, together with ordinary email metadata. We use these to answer questions, investigate faults and keep a record of the support we provide. Our lawful basis is performing a contract or taking requested steps before a contract where applicable; otherwise it is our legitimate interest in helping users and improving the software.

We keep correspondence while an enquiry is open and afterwards only where needed for related follow-up, recurring faults, a complaint or a legal claim. The retention period depends on the nature of the enquiry, whether the issue remains relevant and any legal obligation to preserve records. Files supplied for diagnosis are kept only while needed for that investigation or a related dispute. You can ask us to delete information we no longer need.

Please minimise the personal and confidential information in attachments. We do not use support enquiries to add you to a marketing mailing list.

Apple purchases and diagnostics

Apple handles account, payment and subscription information under its own terms. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Staxis asks StoreKit on your Mac for verified product and entitlement status so it can unlock the correct access. The app does not store a purchase receipt or create a Staxis customer account.

Apple may provide developers with App Store reports and diagnostics according to Apple’s services and your sharing settings. These are separate from website analytics. Read Apple’s privacy information.

Providers and international processing

Our hosting provider and the providers handling support email process information needed to deliver those services. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, using legal obligation or legitimate interests as appropriate.

Google’s hosting infrastructure is global, so website request information may be processed outside the UK. Google describes its data-processing terms and international transfer safeguards, including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, in its Firebase privacy information. Email routing and the services you choose may also involve international processing. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. If we rely on consent for any future optional activity, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Email us to make a request. We may need enough information to verify your identity, and some rights have legal exceptions. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. We do not use this website to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when relevant practices change and show the revision date above. Future Staxis cloud services would need their own appropriate information before you use them; they are not part of the local-file launch described here.
